The Door
The door is 48mm thick. Two sheets of corrosion-resistant steel are locked together around a rigid core to give a steel armour thickness of 2.4mm. The door blade is reinforced with an astragal that should prevent anyone jemmying open your door. Between the two sheets of steel that form the exteriors of your door, there are integral steel stiffeners and mineral wool that provide additional strength and insulation.
The Door Frame
A door is only as strong as its frame. Everything described above would be useless if screwed into a weak timber frame. Our Metal Security Doors are installed along with a fully welded steel frame and anti-jemmy sub frame. The door and frame are attached by stainless steel hinges and security dog bolts.
