Our industrial doors department completed an impressive installation for a large contracting firm, fitting massive 12 metre wide doors at a site in Royston.
The Jewers Phoenix Osprey door is a high performance sliding folding door, ideal for sites requiring access for large vehicles and machinery. Often used for emergency vehicle access sites, such as fire stations, the door is also an ideal choice for agricultural purposes.
With a total size of 12 x 3.75 metres, the 6 panel door is designed to last. The top-hung multi leaf sliding folding door has a galvanised steel channel top track and sealed bearing guide wheels. Solid aluminium hinges and joins are complemented by rubber seals on all edges, ensuring smooth operation and a high level of security.
This installation boasts incredible performance figures, the insulated doors are tested for acoustic performance, wind pressure and have a life expectancy exceeding 20 years. Panels are constructed from 1.6mm thick cold rolled galvanised dovetail channel frames with 5mm thick local reinforcement for hardware. The frame is covered on both sides with 0.7mm thick galvanised steel sheets and pressure injected with CFC-free polyurethane foam.
This model of door is available in sizes up to 20 metres wide and 6 metres tall, whilst the Phoenix Kingfisher is available up to 100 metres wide.
