Warehousing can be made significantly more efficient with the addition of dock levellers and shelters from Hormann. Our team recently supplied and installed these dock levellers to a company based in Beccles - significantly streamlining their loading and unloading operations.
Dock Levellers
We installed four Hormann HTL 20/35 telescopic lip dock levellers. These sturdy and reliable levellers feature a self-supporting steel joint construction with an electro-hydraulic operator unit. The platform is made of moulded, anti-slip steel, 8/10 mm thick, with a standard 500mm telescopic lip made of the same material but slightly thicker with gradient.
Dock Shelters
Hormann recognises that protection is incredibly important in the transportation of goods, minimising damage and ensuring safe operation. Dock shelters from Hörmann can be tailored to suit any lorry size and are a fantastic way to enhance protection to your loads and workers in any conditions.
We installed four Hormann flap dock shelter type DSS Flexible dock shelters with scissor arm construction and reinforced flaps to fit the following dimensions:
Front opening:
The supporting construction consists of a 3-sided front and rear frame made of galvanised steel profiles. The flexible connection is created by 2 horizontally arranged compressible scissors arm constructions made of galvanised steel U profiles. Tension springs are used to return the system to the home position. The side and top flaps as well as the side and top claddings are fastened with weather strip locating profiles made of anodised aluminium or a rear weather strip locating profile made of black plastic.
Additional extras for this job included Wheel Guides, Dock Buffers and Dock Lights - all with the purpose of making the process of loading and unloading as smooth as possible.
Industrial Doors
In addition to the dock leveller access points, we supplied and installed four Hörmann SPU F42 double-skinned insulated sectional doors with anti drop guards. These electrically operated loading bay doors were constructed to fit openings 3000mm wide x 3000mm high.
