Holt Rugby Club Upgrades Fire Exit Doors from uPVC to Steel

Project Details

The project brief involved removing four existing uPVC fire exit doors and replacing them with high-quality steel door sets. Each doorset boasts the following features:

• General Purpose Steel Door Sets. These robust doors provide superior strength.
• Stainless Steel Butt Hinges. Durable and resistant to corrosion, these hinges ensure smooth operation.
• Type C Single Rebate Frames. Offering a clean and secure fit for the door sets.
• Mineral Wool Infill. This insulating material enhances the doors' thermal and acoustic insulation.
• Z108 Heavy Duty Friction Stays. These stays ensure the doors remain securely open when required.
• Low Profile Aluminium Threshold & Frame Seals. Creating a weatherproof and barrier.
• PPC Paint Finish in RAL9003 Signal White. Providing a sleek and professional aesthetic.

Door Specifications

• Physio Door. This wider door (1890mm x 2545mm) features a glazed upper panel for natural light and incorporates flush bolts, lever handles, a sashlock, and a cylinder & turn for added security.
• North Side Fire Exit. This standard-sized door (2100mm x 2100mm) prioritises safety with a Briton 378/376 panic bolt combination for easy egress in emergencies. There's no external access for enhanced security.
• Rear of Bar Fire Exit. This slightly narrower door (1605mm x 2095mm) features Briton panic bolts for easy opening and a Briton 1413 external access device for additional security.
• South Side Fire Exit. Similar to the rear bar fire exit, this door (990mm x 2545mm) incorporates Briton panic bolts and a Briton 1413 external access device for a balanced combination of safety and accessibility. It also includes a glazed upper panel for improved visibility.
